My thoughts on the movie are, that it's not as good as I expected. Everyone knows or heard about John Wick, and their reaction is mostly the same. I know it wants to give power to the character, but for me it doesn't come though. Those who are not afraid of him are friends who are either powerful enough to order his end or feel they can personally kill him. Because being an assassin is a job like that. -.-"
The action... I still feel they could have done more. Here the weapons are guns, knifes and hand-to-hand combat, which for me leaves a great variety of possibilities out. Also while John bleeds (mostly on his face) we don't see the same from attackers. Yes, I would love to have a close up on them as they get a head-shot.
We get to hear the pencil reference (joke?) again... and that most than anything made me remember that ninja kid film, where the kid mentions "the greatest ninjas can image 10 possibilities to kill their opponents in any situation". Maybe that's why the pencil doesn't sound to me as such a big thing?
It was a bit better then the first episode, and I was glad that I didn't need to worry about the dog. Still would have liked a little screen at the top left where we could see his interaction with the receptionist.
