Ica ~ the World though my Glasses
Emi grows listless as her father is always at work. One day she finds a pencil, that make heroes from another world appear.

Not sure if I should like it or not. It's a bit like Wrack it Ralph...?

Itsuki is a novelist who works day in and day out to create the ultimate younger sister in his stories. He's surrounded by various other characters: a beautiful genius writer who loves him, his big-sisterly classmate from college, a fellow male writer, a sadistic tax accountant, and his editor. They're all looked after by Itsuki's perfect younger step-brother, Chihiro.

The first part, Itsuki's first idea is a new level of bad. The 2nd part is him having interaction with friends by a guessing game.

A bunch of idol guys with depression?

At last this is what I gathered from the first episode. Everyone is looking down / into the rain / sad, and they sing a few songs while they are at it.

As the Soviet Union marches on Berlin in May of 1945, a secretive group of sorcerers and madmen gathers to perform a terrible ritual. After the war, they vanish and are not heard from again, except in rumour that they will return and end the world.

Here I only saw a pilot, which was quite confusing. How I read there will be a guy, Fuji Ren, who has the same powers as this group, and he is to fight the upcoming apocalypse. I think Devilmen was better.

Just like usual, here is my post about the Autumn sequels... will be edited whenever I find the time.

Classicaloid 2
There was a series about this one in Autumn 2016. Basically famous musicians are summoning crazy stuff with their music in the modern world, to the enjoyment - or bother - of high school students Kanae and Sousuke. The story continues with the appearence of a mysterious boy and his pet hippo.

I don't remember watching this, at all. It looks quite crazy.

Dream-Fes! R

You know my opinion for CG. There is also no romance, and the characters are quite stereotyped. Oh, right! Original series ran Autumn 2016, if anyone is interested.

Garo: Vanishing Line

Continues the story of the Autumn 2014 Garo: Honoo no Kokuin and the Autumn 2015 Garo: Guren no Tsuki.

Gintama. Porori Hen

Those who know Gintama will now what to expect.

Himouto! Umaru-chan R

The prequel was aired in Summer 2015. I personally didn't find it either funny, nor cute.

Hoozuki no Reitetsu (2017)

Prequel aired Autumn 2014. I really love the art. ^^ Unfortunately till now I didn't have the time to check the first season, but now, with the new season start I'll def. make the time for it!

Houseki no Kuni (2017)
In the distant future, a new life form called Houseki is born. The 28 Houseki must fight against the Tsukijin who want to attack them and turn them into decorations, thus each gem is assigned a role such as a fighter or a medic. Though she hopes to fight the moon people, Phos is a gem who is given no assignment until the gem's manager Kongo asks her to edit a natural history magazine.

I think I haven't seen the original from 2013, so I'm not sure if this is a sequel, but for me it seems like a re-make.

Kekkai Sensen & Beyond

The story continues... though the first episode is just a "random day".

Kino no Tabi: The Beautiful World - Animated Series
Kino is a young adventurer who rides a talking motorcycle named Hermes. They explore the people and cultures of different places throughout their adventures, spending only three days at each location.

It started in 2003, there was a movie in 2005 and 2007, and now this new series. You don't need either to understand this, because it explains all. The place Kino visits in this first episode is also interesting, if you like to think about things.

Love Live! Sunshine!! (2017)

Love Live! has a long history, with it's start after January 2013, this is just a new season of that again.

Osomatsu-san 2

This might be something who knew the old Osomatsu-san.

Sangatsu no Lion (2017)

Kiriyama Rei is a pro shogi player, who gets out of loneliness when he meets the 3 sisters Akari, Hinata and Momo.

Shokugeki no Souma: San no Sara

I was not a fan of the earlier series, so I'll not watch it. If you still want to try, first try the other seasons in Spring 2015 and Summer 2016, cause the way this opens spoils it completely. You also need to be aware of the dinamics between the characters to understand what is happening.

Time Bokan: Gyakushuu no San Akumin

This is probably popular because the learning part...? It started first in 1975. *applause*

TsukiPro The Animation
4 idol bands get to play on the 2nd day of the TsukiPro festival. Their preperation is probably the focus...?

Related to Tsukiuta. The Animation.

UQ Holder! Mahou Sensei Negima! 2

Totally not the same as the Negima you would think about. It surprised me a bit.

Wake Up, Girls! Shin Shou

I don't get why they need to change up the graphics to CGI while the groups perform. And what's with their fingers in the CGI?!?

Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru

The first season was in Autumn 2014. Some girls in class fight against creatures called Vertex.

Cardia lives isolated from the world, as instructed by her father, who modified her body with a heart shaped crystal engine. As part of it's mysterious functions she now carries a deadly poison, that rots and melts anything her skin touches. After 2 years her solitude is interrupted by the Royal Guards, who capture her. She is then stolen from them by Lupin, who, together with Abraham Van Helsing, Victor Frankenstein and Impey Barbicane try to find her father to solve the mystery of her heart.

Cutey Honey mixed with Hellsing, neoromance and steampunk. It just sounds complicated to me. ~~"

Maika is looking for a part-time job to get enough money to study abroad, but nobody accepts her because of her strict eyes. One day she gets an offer to be a maid at the café, where every worker is given certain attributes - tsundere or little sister - while serving customers. Maika gets the assignment to be extreme sadist.

At first I thought this anime wants to hook fans with it's resemblance to Working!!... halfway thought he anime I realized how much I enjoy it, and forgot my thoughts on Working!!. Part of it is probably due to the interaction between Maika and the Italian manager, Dino.

In a world of magic Asta and Yuno are abandoned together at the same church, and growing up together they go after the same goal to become the next Emperor Magus. However as they grow up it turns out that while Yuno is a genius in magic, Asta has no such powers at all. To make up for it, he trains physically. When at 15 everyone receives their Grimoires, Yuno gets a spectacular book with a four-leaf clover, while Astra receives nothing at all. However when Yuno gets attacked, Asta's power is revealed: he receives a five-leaf clover Grimoire.
The 3 leaf of a clover represent honesty, hope and love. The 4th leaf brings good luck. In the fifth leaf lives the devil.

I have so many flashes from Kibo and Ao no exorcist, that it takes out the fun.

Asagaya Minoa is talked into re-opening the anime research club by a classmate, Kamiigusa Arisu. Though going though the old club room she finds a hat, and a talking cat.

It does sound like an original... but even though the part of the mystery with the cat gives a twist, I'm afraid it is only a reason to add more anime stereotype into the story.

Again a new season has started, with lots of new anime. Starting with the shorts!

Ame-iro Cocoa Series: Ame-con!!
This is both a short, and a sequel to Ame-iro Cocoa, from Spring 2015. Don't know the characters, but one of the guys, Tokura Nozomu started a new Café in Hawaii.

After the first buzz the Café hit a down, and as a new marketing they want to use a Shiba dog to make the shop popular... I don't know much about marketing, but I don't think this is a good idea...

Dia Horizon (Kabu)
In a far away place the world "adventurer" had lost it's meaning, and became a job just like any other. The characters all wear something on their head - though why, I have no idea.

It is more like an office sketch then one for rpg, at last from the first episode.

Glamorous Heroes
An ex-programmer works together with 3 amateur players to win a game called Glamorous Heroes. The game is protected by it's 3 girl AI forms.

Couldn't find any reason as to why I should watch it.

Idolmaster Cinderella Girls Gekijou (2017)

Continues from Spring 2017.

Love Kome: We Love Rice Nikisaku

New season... why, is a good question. I didn't understand the first season either.

Omiai Aite wa Oshiego, Tsuyoki na, Mondaiji

Nana Saigawa goes to a matchmaker appointment only to find herself paired with one of her students, named Shuuji Kuga. I don't get why these type of anime exist.

Osake wa Fuufu ni natte kara

Mizusawa Chisato is a beautiful leader who has a secret that only her husband, Sora, knows about: her real, adorable character only comes out when she drink.

Taishou Mebiusline: Chicchai-san
Kyouichirou has the ability to see spirits. When he gets called to Tokyo, he has no idea that the army wants to use this ability.

I have no real idea what this wants to be. The minute he arrives to the station, he turns chibi, and there is also some shonen ai mixed into this... how, I don't know.

On Sunday my 10 day trip to Spain ended. Yesterday I still needed to get home from the place where the whole thing started, thus the lateness in the post.
I got the pictures organized and uploaded. If you are interested, you can find them HERE. Enjoy. ^^
It was with bus, so we went though Austria, Italy, France to get to Spain, this way on the way to and back we visited 1-1 place too. The short list of what I saw is: Vicenza, Nizza, Zaragoza, Madrid, Escorial, Toledo, Valencia, Tarragona, Montserrat, Barcelona, Aix-en-Provance, Maria-Wörth. My favourite place from all this was Toledo.
I ate some Spanish food, and saw a Flamenco-show, drank some Sangria, and most of the time had great weather.

I don't like to give up on a game, so I tried again... and got hooked. The game gives me more stress then what relaxation it should cause, the details are to complicated, and for the life for me I can't figure the fishing part out... but I'm by 21 hours of play and end of Autumn.
The game hours are much quicker than real time, so I needed to prioritize what is important and what not... so I mostly let the friendship part out. Maybe after I have a solid income in-game, I'll try that again, but for now there is just not enough time in the day.

This weekend is a Danube bend beer-festival in my home-town. I visited it to check the programs - mostly I was interested in the festival sweets. ^^
Regarding the programs, I saw the end of a beauty pageant, a fashion show, and listened to a guy who went to the Eurovision this year. He mixed gipsy music with electric, and I think most of it is not bad. He even got the dancer girl in the video on stage.

Name-days are mostly a thing of Europe. One would think, it's classy, but most people don't even celebrate it. For me, I like to eat something special, or sweets. Today was special in a few ways. I got greetings from 2 friends, that made me happy. Also had a program to meet with ex-colleagues to check out a sushi-place called Planetsushi, and ate some fried sushi. The last surprise was when I got home, and received a handmade beaded Sailor Moon medal from my Mom.

Anyway, the reason I mention it as a Name-day weekend is because Mom and me have the same Name-day, and my Dad and my brother has the same day - which happens to be this Sunday. So since it's so close together, we usually celebrate all at once. I already gave my brother a few steam games as presents, while my Mom received some cash to support her plan to update the garden. My dad will receive a wallet on Sunday.

I started this pc game yesterday, that I bought a while ago. After 5 hours of playing I would say Stardaw Valley is a mix between Minecraft and Animal Crossing. While I do love these type of games, I found some questionable stuff in it. The control to the menu was hard to find, I'm not sure here, if it was my own fault for clicking to quick on one screen, or the game missing it overall. There is also really little explanation about stuff. You have only one chance to accept a task, or read a mail, and till now I didn't get what was the use of any house pets, like dog or cat. They give noise, and you need to give them water every day, but that's it.
But the most laughable stuff was when I tried to solve the "mouse problem in the community hall" and got a mail from the local wizard, who talked me into drinking some potion, that will make me understand what "spirit of the forest" means. That guy was a total stranger till then, and I had absolute no control to decide if my character wanted that stuff or not! The next thing I know, my character has hallucinations about pine trees and cones flying though the air... I don't think that's questionable only to me. Might be cause I was a serious child, but even then I would have found this strange.

Now, I know it's a game, and wants to be fun, but that was really strange. Other than that, the fact, that I played since yesterday already 5 hours means, that I'm quite into the game. It's simple, and relaxes me a lot.

Monday was uneventful, so I haven't posted anything. Yesterday then I saw Annabelle 2, got home late and tired, so I left the update for today.

Some spoilers/thoughtsCollapse )

A main reason why I tend to give this film a bad rating is probably not even the fault of the film. We went for an afternoon screening, and there were a lot of teens in groups. When one of them got scared, to hide that from the group they were with giggles, which totally ruined the mood of a horror throughout the movie.

I don't think you need to worry about the doll. Yes, it is shown a few times, but the studio mostly went with the idea that the demon simply can't be far away from the doll. So the creepiness - if there is any - doesn't come from Annabelle, but from the demon beside her.

Safe Men (1998)
Couldn't get my hands on this one, again, but after the trailer wish I could.

54 (1998)
Again couldn't find this film.

These 2 are listed both on IMDB and Wiki, however since I can only see the trailer he is either not in the film at all, or has such a minor role, that he is not shown. Because in his earlier films he played roles that moved the plot forward, even if those were horror, I'm not sure I understand why he got such little, mute roles.

A Fish in the Bathtub (1999)
Again, no luck to watch this one, but I wish I could have. Mark Ruffalo plays the son of a married couple (played by Anne Meara and Jerry Stiller), his mother moves to him when she has enough after 40 years of incessant bickering over the smallest of things, not the least of which is Sam's inexplicable decision to keep a fish in the bathtub.

Ride with the Devil (1999)
Civil war western film, again with a mute role, how I saw. The main is played by Tobey Maguire. He looks quite laughable in the role for me to take it serious - no offence.

You can count on me (2000)
Plays the role of an impulsive brother to Laura Linney's character, who tires to get by as a single mom.

Committed (2000)
Again, couldn't find this film. Just as a side note, there were still VHS around when this came out, and I think this has not reached the shops in Hungary.

The Last Castle (2001)
This portrays a struggle between inmates and the warden of a military prison. The character of Robert Redfort, Eugene Irwin ex-general takes the prison from the director, Winter. Mark Ruffalo takes on the role of a bookmaker in this prison, and son of a soldier who served together with Irwin.
Even though I don't like Robert Redfort, this film makes remember The Shawshank Redemption, and having Mark Ruffalo in a key role here also helps to upgrade the movies worth in my eyes.

Today it was a big cleaning day, I'm seriously tired. But in a way I look forward to sleep tonight. After a big cleaning even the vibe of the room changes, and having the bedding out on the sun gives it such a relaxing smell.

I think I mentioned it somewhere before, that I plan to watch all films that I can get my hands of by some actors, and Mark Ruffalo was a first. To be true, I had trouble with almost a decade worth of his movies. He started - like most actors - on the sideline, in horror movies, and not many of those got to Hungary.

Mirror, Mirror 2: Raven Dance (1994)
Marley and her mentally challenged brother Jeffrey find A mysterious mirror hidden in a church orphanage. They don't realize at The mirror fulfils their innocent wishes - but gains more and more power over them too. Mark Ruffalo plays Christian, who wants to charm Marley, and gets involved in the mystery of the mirror too. It is quite surprising to see him in such an early role, where he already has the talent I like him for.

There goes my Baby (1994)
Couldn't get my hands on this one, but I know that it wants to be about a bunch of graduate high schoolers in a time of political change. The main roles are with Noah Wyle - I only know him as the ER guy X3 - and Dermot Mulroney.

Mirror, Mirror III: The Voyeur (1995)
Since his character, Christian died in the 2nd part he gets another role, as Joey. This part is full with erotic scenes, that does not help with the suspense. Not to say, the monster in the 2nd episode was so lame, it just pulled the fangs of the Mirror, Mirror series for me.

The Destiny of Marty Fine (1996)
Couldn't get my hands on this one.

The Dentist (1996)
Ok, this one plays with our fear of the dentist, not sure if I would call it a thriller or horror though. This doctor begins to hallucinate that the teeth of his patients are rotten and begins to attack them. Mark Ruffalo plays the manager of a model who gets attacked.

The last big thing (1996)
Simon Geist wages war against all of modern American popular culture. Geist starts up a magazine called "The Next Big Thing" which he uses to confront and insult upcoming actors, comics, models and rock bands.

On the 2nd Day of Christmas (1997)
A Christmas movie where he plays a composer-turned security guard, who needs to look after a shoplifting woman and her niece though Christmas. I saw this one many-many times already. ^^ It's as cheesy as a Christmas movie can be, but I still liked it.

Houdini (1997)
Again, could't get my hands on the film, but know that Mark Ruffalo plays the brother of Houdini, Theo and he has the idea to start as magician..

Today I could only get this far, but it was a long week and I need some good sleep. The weather turned, so maybe we won't have such a hot night as the last few days, which could help.

Since next week it is planned that I watch Annabelle 2, I wanted to check out the first movie too.
I was aware before about the story of Annabelle, but haven't got around to see the movie. There were parts and pieces, and sometimes Annabelle had a guest appearance as well, somehow connected with the Worren family, but never got all of the film. I think I wasn't on the horror-watch with colleagues when the first movie from it came out either. Now we have a club-like group, and watching horrors helps to relax work-stress a lot.

Now, I liked the start with the murder-case a lot. The whole build up had a nice piece, how they operated with background music and silence helped a lot to make it more scary. Showing the doll without any reaction could be also a smart move for some, and I understand the concept, but it's not my first horror, and we are talking about a doll. It is hard to make it creepy, even if it is dirty and partly broken. Also, it annoyed me how many times they showed a static tv - without any explanation of why the tv is not working, but the record player and sewing machine does.
With time I began to get the vibe of Dark Water. This mother wanting to save his daughter, while being contacted with the spirit of another girl / demon, etc. Then the last sacrifice made the power of mother love seem so week. Not to say, we know from the start, that whatever they do, it doesn't help. So that took out the bite of the ending. Making the movie just 3 years before, I would say they could have expected a sequel, or other guest appearances, so the ending should have been more powerful/tricky. There was just no surprise this way.
