First of all, I wish all of you:
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

WELCOME in the YEAR OF THE TIGER!!!

Did you know that in 2010 Chinese New Year begins on the 14th February? We should make a visit to the Zoo like last time. Who knows, maybe this time I will pick the animal of the year. ^^

How did your new year's eve go?
As for me I spent it with friends. It was by Ani-chan with Minami, her boyfriend and brother, Benyó, Sol, my brother and me. After dinner we watched The Boat that Rocked - and I still say, that film RLZ!!!... only don't watch the bonus for the dvd X_x - and already it was the end of the day. We had champagne, and then little fireworks, just like last year. ^^

More fireworks pictures ^^ )

Watched some stand up: Stephen Lynch... and John Pinette. That guy is really great, if you ask me! X3 A good way to begin the new year. ^^
Watched the first Sailor Moon movie too. Made me sooo nostalgic! I'm still more in love with the German song by the end, no matter how much I love Japanese in general. It can be, cause I heard that one before, but don't really think so. That lyrics of the German version is just more catchy.
Another anime Ani-chan showed was a part of Sol Bianca. I think I heard the title somewhere before, but never had the chance to see. Woman pirates, and mecha... quite an interesting combi... but I just don't like how they mix mechanics with mystic. One some level I could even go with the fact, that one of the girls is somehow a part of the ship, and can so manipulate it. But then to see a big goddess-hologram, using their ship as an arrow-head as the ship's attack... that was to much. Maybe I was so critic, cause it WAS late...
Now that we talk about that, everyone in the group wished for rest, so I went to bed too at about 4... though not to sleep. Somehow I couldn't. Not that I didn't try... but somehow every time I closed my eyes, in the next moment I just automatic opened them. So I decided to read the 5th book of Princess Diaries (my thoughts on it will come tomorrow), sadly it didn't take up enough time.
So as I listened to Sol's snoring on the other side of the room, it made me remember my grandfather. He was a really great man, who showed me the way to love dogs.
I even tried to think about an old story of mine, that came back to me after some random happenings in my life, and thanks to City Hall. ^^ How I see it, it really has potential, now if only I could write it down. ^^"
On the way home ^^ )
At about 10 then everyone woke up, and we went home. I arrived at about half 12. Ate lentils (tradition, to have money in the new year), then went to bed. Still couldn't sleep though, so I read Avalon High by Meg Cabot.
Had one of my dreams of having a picture with all my dogs half fulfilled (I wanted one, where we are all sleeping). ^^
My Dogs <3 )
Really cute, don't you think? ^^ If asleep, they are way more cute though. ^.^

For the end, I want to write my new year resolutions, plans... name it how you want. In no special order:
  • sport - I still need to find one that helps me lose weight, and become more fit, the diet helped some, but isn't a solution in the long run
  • learning kanji, and make at last a basic Japanese test by the end of the year
  • travel to Japan
  • save up money - naturally for the trip, any extra I should need this year, and to make mom more relaxed
  • sign-language - actually thanks to my dad, I have the possibility to learn it free (or cheep at last), so I only need to look up when the courses begin, and fix it into my work-day somehow
  • looking up any other chances for qualifications
  • find a good library and enroll
  • call my friends over to an overnight party
  • take up novel and story-writing again
  • <qualified> - cause it's just embarrassing... if it works out though, I'll report it right away ^^
  • go to the Zoo on 14th February to make pictures with the animals from the Chinese horoscope
  • be more understanding
  • if Mero feels better, go to a belly dance course with her
  • collect the missing Poirot dvd episodes
  • sort though my old CD collection

I think this list will go on some more, as I remember things to do. Some will be easy, some harder, but I still think, writing it down helps to achieve them. ^^

Today I made some greaves flaky pastry. I already planned it a week ago, but didn't have time at Christmas. ~~" Anyway it turned out really great! And now don't think that flaky pastry is so hard, that you need to buy it in the supermarket! This time again I'll write the recipe in Hungarian, and if someone is interested, I can translate it.

Last time I forgot to post the recipes from the Christmas sweets, so I'll do that next time... Oh, and tomorrow I may be make some fruitcake. ^^

Just now I had the time to look though my f-list's, and found Jamie's post. If you're into Japan, Prince of Tennis manga, or crazy Japanese stuff, this is the place for you to read!
A big LOL for the ice cream with raw egg on top, and the wasabi flavored Kit-Kat. X3

Merry Christmas to All!

(Remélem tetszik a kép, Minami! Ha nappali fény mellett is kell egy, csak szólj!)

How is it going for you? For me it was hard work till now. Only 5 minutes ago did I finish backing, my feet are KILLING me... and to tell the truth, I'm not even 100% satisfied with the outcome.

Today I was with my Mom, Minami and Luluko at the Operetta gala. Will write about it tomorrow, if I have the time next to work. Now though something else: since before the gala I had some time I made some pictures in Budapest, to share the Christmas feeling with all of you. ^.^

Am on vacation today, and tomorrow. But to tell the truth, I was just being lazy all morning. Then I ate, made dinner for the family, and - since it's so close now to Christmas - cleaned the windows downstairs. My guess is that my mom will love it. ^.^

It's hard to believe, but Xira was actually afraid from the leash. Really don't want to image what our ex-neighbours did with her before. It will only make me angry
I needed to bring Yuuki on our walks just to make her go out. It took about a week for her to realize, that I'll not bring her to another place, just walk a bit and then get back home. Since then she is quite happy to go... even though I don't have a collar for her yet.
Yesterday while walking Xira I remembered something, and thought to post it... since today is Fullmoon I thought to ask everyone.

The basic is this: looking at the Moon, what do you see?
In Hungary we say there is a violin player / boat on the moon... and there is a song with the title "Sajtból van a Hold" (The Moon is from cheese). X3
We have some traditional believes about the Moon and weather too. Pale Moon will bring rain, if it's red, the next day cold wind will blow, etc.

Many of my friends - being anime-fans - heard the Japanese version, I'm sure: of a Bunny making mocchi on the moon. And there is the story of Kaguya hime too.

So my question is: in your country, what are the legends, thoughts of the Moon?

Just came back from a performance of Shinnai and Hachioji Kuruma Ningyo with my Mom.

WOW!!!
...

I saw something really awesome today! If you ever hear about Kuruma Ningyo you should check it out for sure!!!
The stories were great, the music was great - though my mom didn't like that part X3 - the 'voices' of the puppets where awesome... and one of them was even cute. X3 It really felt like we were watching a seiyuu event, with the actual voices, and their character on the same stage. *.*
And then those costumes!!! I loved the kimonos!!! And the bells they used by the dance for the first performance!!! O_o It was great! I really haven't seen something like this before, so I was totally amazed!!!
Not to talk from the end... they actually prepared a dragon-dance for us, and even a puppet in Hungarian folk tradition, making it dance the Hungarian way. One really couldn't help, but applaud. So I loved every moment of it. ^^

*the pictures are from Central Theater's website*

[info]kawaii_miisha , our prayers are already answered in some way: there will be Noh Theater on the 9th December!!! ^____^

Just after I wrote about Kimi ni Todoke my order arrived with the first 9 volumes of the manga, the 15th volume of Gokusen, and Beast Master 1-2. <3 I am really happy now! ^____^

Oh, someone asked me to make a photo of my orders. Don't really know why, but here you go. ^^

By my last order, I bought Lovely Complex on dvd! Yeeey! ^.^ Was soooo very happy about it! <3 Not to talk that the price on Yesasia is more purse-friendly then what I imaged it to be. ^^
Was nicely surprised when I watched it, and not only got an extra Lovely Complex merchandise to it (some kind of bookmark?), but the English sub is great on it too. It actually says what they talk! Bravo for the translation! *applause*

Then just today I got to know - thanks to [info]coolnat466 - that there is an actual MANGA made of Teppei's life by the mangaka of Lovely Complex, Nakahara Aya, called "Bokura no Ibasho"!!!

Sure, I'm not one to get surprised easy, but this was really quite the news.
The story goes from the time he went to Tokyo till they have their major debut with WaT, and is quite cute for a oneshot. ^.^

My last holiday weekend, and I spend it quite eventful. The original plan was to watch dramas and animes I didn't had the time to see till now, but somehow I always got something else to do, so that didn't really work. ^___^"

On Friday I was in the Amusement Park with friends. It was really fun! We went with everything we could. Sadly there where a few rides that we could have only tried as an escort to little kids. A shame... those seemed fun too!
(Just a note: I did make some pictures, but the website of the Amusement Park is made so well, not only with pictures, but videos too, so I'll link the site of the games, for those who are interested.)

First we went on Break Dance with Évi. It's a fun way to start! And all that retro music! they play to it!!! You just need to LOVE that X3
Second was the Roller coaster. How I know it's the only in Europe, that's made of wood, and is still working. It's not a scary ride... only if you think about the fact that it's made in the 20's. X3
By that time Timi and Betti arrived to, and so we all 4 went to ride on Ikarus. Before Friday I watched the home page of the Amusement Park and already watched this game... Well, it wasn't like I thought it would be. It's more of a panorama-view, like a ferris-wheel, then an actual game.
Went into the Horror house too... Sadly there are no links on the site... maybe cause it was one of the rides that you need to pay in extra (usually for every game the armband-ticket is enough)... so here are pictures of it made by me. Sadly inside I couldn't use my cam.

Well, from here on, I'm afraid I will just randomly write about what we went on, since I don't remember the order.
There was the Sinuous. That's another oldie, made in 1925... but so fun! It seems a bit childish, but by the corners it spins you out quite well! ^^
Then the Ferris-wheel... this is really only for the awesome panorama-view. You can bring your cam and make great shoots there.
Went both with the Tower and Hip-Hop. If I want to be honest, I must say, that at first I only wanted to try Hip-Hop... since I wasn't on a game like this before. But it was fun enough to get me a taste of it so I tried the higher Tower too.
The Carousel is a MUST for everyone!!! This game is a national monument, made in 1906(!). You can actually feel history while riding these. We got on it twice. ^^
As for Top Spin... I sat on that already in German once, but how I remember as we were hanging there upside down, the water came up, and I could actually touch it. Here, there was not even a chance, that I could even feel it. T___T It would have been great in that hot weather.
Top Scan is a really great ride... a shame that I and Évi destroyed it. ~.~" At last this was the feeling we got from the operator. This is what happened: we sat on the ride and where on it for about a minute... when the operator stoped the ride - with us 5 meter above the ground - and told that it just goes to low for it to be safe, and so we need to get down. Actually a hour later we saw that it's working again, but didn't want to get the same experience again so we passed. A shame... it was really the most exciting game in the park!
Got to the cave-railway too. It tells a famous Hungarian story, János vitéz (valiant)... though the end is changed from the actual story a bit.
Etto... there was this boat... ah, found it! Tale-boat. The funny thing here that the ones before us got stuck, and so we rammed them to make them move again. X3
Went on the Roller coaster again, and after the Bewitched Castle - only left out the butt at the end - tried the new ride, Spinning Coaster. It was fun, and the best is to sit to the back, that way you'll not know what comes next. ^^
After Spinning Coaster then me and Évi went on Flying Circus. After Top Scan it was the best ride ever... and made me realize that I'm not to become an artiste. All that upside down hanging made me a bit wary. @_@
For last we went on the Carousel again... and already we spend 6 hours there, even I got a bit dizzy so we called it a day there.

After coming home I began to re-watch Ai nante irane yo, Natsu with Watabe Atsuro (<3). Ahhh, I really love this guy! This time he isn't playing a really good guy, more like a person who got hurt once, and decided that love is not needed in his life. And then he meets a blind girl - whom he wants to fool in saying that he is her brother, and take her money to pay a fence - and realizes that she thinks the same way he does. But if she has no hope, he can't really fool her, so he plays his role so well... that he begins to have hope, and feels love again. The ending gave me such an "AAAAH" feeling... I just can't explain it. It's just an ending where I don't know if I should be happy, or run into a wall.

Saturday the re-watch ended, and I got to Budapest (capital) sooner than usual. The anime-meet has not began yet, so I went to a book-store... and bought some books again. Ah, last week tainted me into buying again!!!
The only one I've got to read today was I, Hobbyt by Zizi Renard... After reading the sum I thought it would be a Lord of the Rings parody, and since I don't really like the story (sorry for the fans, it really is just my thinking), so I thought to get a good laugh... it turned out not to be. Sure, there are some things that made me remember LotR... but it is written in such a random way, mixing Harry Potter, Forest Gump, famous singers, etc. into it... somehow I couldn't wait for it to end.
If someone of my friends at the meet want it, I'll give it gladly to anyone who asks (sorry but it's in Hungarian, so I don't think anyone else would want it anyway). Szóval ha valakit érdekel, jelezzétek és szívesen odaadom a könyvet!

It was [info]kawaii_miisha  and [info]suzimi  who mentioned a new geek stuff getting popular everywhere around.

Have you ever heard of Plush Microbes?!? You can have a common cold, just as chicken pox or herpes.... It's just so crazy, I can actually understand why it sells well.
