Today something made me remember Ouran High School Host Club, so I began to re-watch it. Tamaki is really such an awesome character, and the story is so funny!!! I can't help but laugh all the time while watching. XD Kyoya as the shadow-king rlz!!! ^___^

First of all, I wish all of you:

How did your new year's eve go?
As for me I spent it with friends. It was by Ani-chan with Minami, her boyfriend and brother, Benyó, Sol, my brother and me. After dinner we watched The Boat that Rocked - and I still say, that film RLZ!!!... only don't watch the bonus for the dvd X_x - and already it was the end of the day. We had champagne, and then little fireworks, just like last year. ^^

Watched some stand up: Stephen Lynch... and John Pinette. That guy is really great, if you ask me! X3 A good way to begin the new year. ^^
Watched the first Sailor Moon movie too. Made me sooo nostalgic! I'm still more in love with the German song by the end, no matter how much I love Japanese in general. It can be, cause I heard that one before, but don't really think so. That lyrics of the German version is just more catchy.
Another anime Ani-chan showed was a part of Sol Bianca. I think I heard the title somewhere before, but never had the chance to see. Woman pirates, and mecha... quite an interesting combi... but I just don't like how they mix mechanics with mystic. One some level I could even go with the fact, that one of the girls is somehow a part of the ship, and can so manipulate it. But then to see a big goddess-hologram, using their ship as an arrow-head as the ship's attack... that was to much. Maybe I was so critic, cause it WAS late...
Now that we talk about that, everyone in the group wished for rest, so I went to bed too at about 4... though not to sleep. Somehow I couldn't. Not that I didn't try... but somehow every time I closed my eyes, in the next moment I just automatic opened them. So I decided to read the 5th book of Princess Diaries (my thoughts on it will come tomorrow), sadly it didn't take up enough time.
So as I listened to Sol's snoring on the other side of the room, it made me remember my grandfather. He was a really great man, who showed me the way to love dogs.
I even tried to think about an old story of mine, that came back to me after some random happenings in my life, and thanks to City Hall. ^^ How I see it, it really has potential, now if only I could write it down. ^^"

At about 10 then everyone woke up, and we went home. I arrived at about half 12. Ate lentils (tradition, to have money in the new year), then went to bed. Still couldn't sleep though, so I read Avalon High by Meg Cabot.
Had one of my dreams of having a picture with all my dogs half fulfilled (I wanted one, where we are all sleeping). ^^

For the end, I want to write my new year resolutions, plans... name it how you want. In no special order:

• sport - I still need to find one that helps me lose weight, and become more fit, the diet helped some, but isn't a solution in the long run
• learning kanji, and make at last a basic Japanese test by the end of the year
• travel to Japan
• save up money - naturally for the trip, any extra I should need this year, and to make mom more relaxed
• sign-language - actually thanks to my dad, I have the possibility to learn it free (or cheep at last), so I only need to look up when the courses begin, and fix it into my work-day somehow
• looking up any other chances for qualifications
• find a good library and enroll
• call my friends over to an overnight party
• take up novel and story-writing again
• <qualified> - cause it's just embarrassing... if it works out though, I'll report it right away ^^
• go to the Zoo on 14th February to make pictures with the animals from the Chinese horoscope
• be more understanding
• if Mero feels better, go to a belly dance course with her
• collect the missing Poirot dvd episodes
• sort though my old CD collection

I think this list will go on some more, as I remember things to do. Some will be easy, some harder, but I still think, writing it down helps to achieve them. ^^

Dance in the Vampire Bund
After long hiding Mina Tepes, the Princess and ruler of all vampires wants a change: so after paying the full national dept of Japan she gets the authority to create a special district, that is to become the future heaven of vampires. Now everyone, terrorist, rival factions, etc. want to kill Mina.
What I didn't get what Kaburagi Akira has to do with anything... next to the fact that he is a werewolf and knows Mina somehow. ^^"

Based on a light novel series by Narita Ryougo (Baccano!). From the promo I couldn't get much, only that it plays in Ikebukuro. Many characters (maybe a gang?), guns, knifes, and pure men-power.

A school raising ladies and - how 'practical' - maids and butlers at the same place! Hino Akiharu enrolls in this school, and becomes a part of the servant training development. Based on a light novel.

Next to the harem-anime type with the stereotypes of young girls, the cow-like breasts, panties are really making me feel old... It may be cause, I saw this kind of anime so many times, but I just don't find it funny!!!

Nodame Cantabile Finale
The story goes on as an anime too, just like the live did. ^^ Yeey for that!

Omamori Himari
Amakawa Yuuto was being protected by his only token of his family: a good luck charm. But on his 16th birthday the charm can't protect him from evil spirits anymore. And then comes a cat-spirit samurai girl and demon huntress, who wants to copulate with him. The only problem that Yuuto is allergic to cats. Based on a shonen anime by Matra Milan.

Seikon no Qwaser

Sora no Oto
Set in the future, after the world has settled after long running wars, the 15 year old Kanata Kumika gets accepted in the army, and joins an unit of 5 girls, to protect a fortress. They also play music, that reverberates across the sky to towns far far away. It's an original anime.( *CAP )

Wanted to post this for ages, but always forgot. It's a cap from the 8th episode of Shugo Chara!!! Doki Doki! Yoru always makes photos of Ikuto and then sends them to Tadase and Amu. But while Tadase gets the normal 'half faced photos, with Yoru's paw in the picture' Amu gets so much more...!!! *grin*

After watching the promo, I'm really interested in this movie! The graphic makes me nostalgic for Mahoujin Guru Guru, not to say that for the main characters actor voices are used, like that of Horita Maki and Oizumi Yo. <3

In short: Haunted Junction is brilliant!!!
The story focuses on 3 high-schoolers, members of the student council, all three highly religious. Asahina Mutsuki is a - shotacon, and sadist - miko, Ryudo Kazumi - perverted and always possesed by ghost - Buddhist monk, and Houjo Haruto, the offspring of a christian family (OH, THANK YOU JAPAN!!! XDXDXD I love your ideas to DEATH!!! X3).
Haruto-kun only dreams from a normal high-school life, normal date, normal graduation, getting a normal job, getting married, etc. But he can't live it, since their school has many ghosts. Now his only dream is to make them wish away. This may happen sooner than hoped, since the principal of their school gives them the mission to look for the seven badges of the school. If those are in their hands, a wish will come true.
While to do that they need to confront the 7 ghosts of the school Haruto is all for getting it over, and both Asahina and Ryudo have their own wishes too. But just as they thought they have everything together, it turns out that "a wish" was the wish of the principal - also a ghost - who wanted to open the door to the ghost world, that was sealed away. Now what will happen to Haruto-kuns 'normal life dream'? X3
Interesting is, how the anime uses famous names, known in Japanese ghost stories, for example Ninomiya Sontoku, or Toilet-spirit Hanako (X3).

Now for the opening. This may be the best I have ever seen. I still remember the first I watched it... and already wanted this anime. Not only is the music and lyrics nice, not many seem to know that actually Nakama Yukie sings this!!!
As for the part with Haruto-kun and the badges... I think that's the highest you can go with the feeling. I so wanted to know what happens with that summoning...!!!
Anyway, this anime is a comedy, and not an adventure-kind thing, so I only recommend this, if you want a good laugh. ^^

My fav. in this is how the lyrics go with the anime so well, and the AMV actually tells a story on it's own. Just love it to pieces! ^____^

Watched the 7th episode of Kimi ni Todoke... and am floating to the 7th Heaven now. THIS is my favorite part of the whole story from all 9 volumes. And now I could see it in anime! ^^ With the characters moving around, and the seiyuus doing a great job. Oh, I'm in love... with Kazehaya and Ryo both. XD

It was such a shame, that we couldn't see the cell number of Kazehaya, right mizukiaya ? It would make the search for him so much easier! ^^ Not that I'll give up on finding a character like his in real, but it would have helped. And don't mind it that I'm over 10 years older than him. It's the 21th century. X3
Pin = LOL. XDXDXD There is one more scene with him that I'll love to see in volume 5, so if I count it right, six episode from now, maybe? Whaa, can't wait! ^^

There was no surprise about the ending of this anime. It's a bittersweet summer story Japanese-style, so naturally it has a story line like that. I guess that every anime fan, who saw at last one-two summer animes would expect it this way - even if it's not satisfying at all. ~~" Even the sister-complex of Urin is usual.

Okay... after watching the 2nd episode, I can almost understand what Gainax wants with this new season. If any of the fans can delete the memory of the 2nd seasons end, then it's a sweet new season about friendship, the blooming relationship of Suguru and Mahoro-san, and the shadow of time hanging above their heads with the number of days Mahoro still has.

Usually I'm really patient with animes. No matter the style if I find just one interesting thing in the story, I try to watch it till the end. By Sora no Otoshimono the first part I watched without a problem. In the 2nd episode the misunderstanding of the childhood friend, Sohara is normal, even the sempai's reaction to Ikaros. But the flying pants... oh, those flying pants! T___T And then the guy actually feels moved by the sight!

Not to talk about the fact that in the 4th episode the flying pants come back (!!!) to Tomoki - after flying around the world once T___T - Sohara naturally doesn't trust Tomoki into throwing it away, and with the help of Ikaros she wishes for the pants to blow up if he sees them inside the house. Since the night before the wish Tomoki put them into arrangements you can image the action-hero scenes with the explosive pants. T___T



I take my hands off this series, and cry for the part of sanity I lost while watching. T___T

The first and only time I wrote about this anime series was by the time the new season began. For me it was somewhat of a Noir copy, no matter how I see it. Sure, this time the two women are not partners but arch-enemies, since it was Alphard who killed her mentor...
Woman with extraordinary powers use guns fighting each other for reasons a normal person would never understand... well, if you like the type, or the game then it's surely nice to watch... I'll pass on this though.

This is really one of the sweetest stories I have ever seen. And the fact that the anime follows the manga quite well doesn't make it boring, with the voices it actually becomes more deep. I really love it. *.*
Now it seems one volume is 3 episodes in the anime. I'm really looking forward to the next part - for the visit by Ryo's house. Whaa, that one is really sweet. ^^
But now I'm thinking... the manga made it to 9 volumes, and I await the 10th as soon as possible. But if I count 3 anime episodes to a volume, than it's quite over the normal length... So I wonder, how long will they go in the story? Maybe till the Christmas part? Or the New Year story? Oh, I really wish they'll make that into anime! ^^

This anime really shacked my world. I know how they handle not curable illnesses (see 1 Litre no Namida for ex.) and that usually if Japan makes a drama, I'll cry, but watching a story about it animated... it's just another dimension of tragedy.

Story is about the twins Riki and Momoko. But while Riki goes to 3rd year of grade school, Momoko struggles with several illnesses and needs to go to a special school for handicapped children. She always cries about wanting to be normal, and only calms down when her family sings the song "Momoko Kaeru no Uta".
Later Momoko gets permission to attend Riki's school as a part of an exchange program. There she cheers not only Riki, but every class-mate on.

Have you ever thought what Gainax actually thinks? To tell the truth, while I felt quite confident by watching Nadia, I gave up on that right as I meet the character Ikari Shinji.
After that's said, I only ask the poetic question: WHY did they bought out a 3rd season of Mahoromatic? And not only that, it actually seems like it plays in the middle of the 2nd season (Mahoromatic: Motto Utsukushii Mono), cause Suguru is still 14, and both Mahoro and Minawa-chan live with him as his maids.

OK, I don't know how many of my f-list saw the 2nd season, so I'll go white from here. Those who saw it KNOW that it ended with Suguru parting from Mahoro, and becoming a robot-hunter of some kind. (The only joke here was that the teacher still looked the same, and didn't find Suguru appealing anymore, since "he lost his purity" so she flirts with a boy from her new class.) Suguru has many scars - his first on his face coming from the time they parted after at last getting together as a pair and being hunted - and most of his organs are already robotic. His partner is another robot, who betrays him, and cuts him before Suguru destroys him. He laughs then, that he missed, since that was a robotic part. But still, he is bleeding. And as he dies in a dark street of the city, he sees Mahoro, he is shown as a young guy again, and he pushes his face into Mahoro's breasts. How I interpret, Suguru DIES here.
So WHY in 7 names of Hell did Gainax made another season of Mahoromatic again? And not only that, it's with the same characters, right in the middle of the 2nd season... like they think we forgot what happened at the end. I really, really don't understand. ~~

Winter Sonata
The anime is a remake of the korean drama with the same title. Even the voices of the characters are the same as in the actual drama. If you liked the story, it's worth a watch. The graphic is awesome here!!! <3

Winter Sonata is about Joon-sang, who feels alone in this world, as a genius pianist, till he meets a girl, Yu-jin. They start dating, but then he has an accident, with memory loss. His mother takes him to the USA and as he comes back he has a girlfriend, who is a rival of his former girlfriend. Next to that Yu-jin is engaged to their childhood friend Sang-hyuk, and gets tempted to break it off as they meet again, since she thought Joon-sang died in that accident, and thinks of their meeting as a miracle.
Just one side note, a saying of my brother: if there is actually a live action, WHY bother making an anime?!? Don't misunderstand, I'm in LOVE with the graphic, but it's just a simple soup story, and so a drama is better for it than an anime. I would mostly choose that form of media for stories that need major special effects, or for some tale of another world.
