Don't know why but just today I remembered the final episode of Blue Seed. Who saw / remembers it? I really loved the ending - even if a bit fanservice with the Kusanagi-san & Momiji pairing wouldn't have hurt ^^ - it had a great message, and the bitter-sweetness was just all right. But the thing I remembered first was that song... Well can it be called a song? That 'La La-la-la La-la-la-la-la-la~'... no matter how often I hear it I just can't get enough of it. X3 For those who don't know the story. The 15 year old Momiji (seiyuu: Hayashibara Megumi) thinks of herself as a normal girl, till she gets attacked by a monster, called Aragami. It turns out after her twin-sister Kaede - whom existence wasn't even known for her till then - was defeated by a monster-attack, and now she alone holds the future of Japan in her hands. "In a kingdom somewhere in time there was an old couple with eight daughters who lived together by the steam of Hi in Izumo. However every year, a 8 headed monster with rubint-like eyes, the Orochi came to eat a daughter, till only one daughter stayed left. Then Susanoo-no-Oh, a God who had been banished from the Takamagahara, appeared. He made the offer to kill the monster if in return he could take the daughter for himself. Cleverly letting the monster drink sake until it was drunk, Susanoo-no-Oh slew the Orochi-no-orichi. The daughter who almost became a victim married her savor, and became Kushinada hime." Momiji being the descendant of the legend, holds the power in her blood to stop the Aragami by sending them to eternal sleep, becomming a sacrifice. Till it's time for that the TAC (Terrestrial Administration Center) and Kusanagi-san (the mysterious guy with the seven souls - Mitama - of Orochi) protect her. But she doesn't like the fact to just sit around and watch. With a spirited character she makes friends with the TAC group and even gets close to the serious Kusanagi Mamoru. Still the time goes by quick and soon it will be time for her to throw everything away for her country and the people she loves. ( spoilerish Blue Seed thoughts )Anyway! I wanted to cut the video I'm re-playing over and over in my head to put it up, but sadly VirtualDub isn't good friends with ogm file-format. T_T If someone knows of a better program I'm all ears!
