Since the scandal with Tsuyoshi I somehow lost the drive to watch SMAPxSMAP, not to mention the dramas that Nakai (Konkatsu!) and Kimura (Mr. Brain) are playing in.
Next to that I caught myself watching older dramas of Tsuyoshi.

First of all, at last I finished with Boku to Kanojo to Kanojo no Ikiru Michi. What to say? The story is still good, and I love how Tsuyoshi acts... but had some problems with the last, 12th episode. I can't really explain well, but I didn't like ending.
In general there was one more thing buging me in this drama: I have never seen or heard a child speak so polite EVER, all though the drama. To everything she says "HAI!"... really I could hardly find any difference between the times that she said that happy, and the times she was sad.

Anyway I plan to re-watch another drama of his next, that is connected to "Boku to Kanojo..." with the title "Boku no Aruku Michi". There he plays a 31 old man, Ootake Teruaki, who is on the intellingent level of a 10 year old, due to a congenital disorder. He has problems to understand himself with others, and just quit another job, when her good friend Miyako-chan (Karina) offers him to work at the Zoo where she is the vet.
Next to the story itself being interesting, 3 other actors came from the Boku to Kanojo set to play here: Nagayama Aiko - in the role of the mother in law before - is now the mother of Teruaki, Kohinata Fumiyo - who played the boss there - has the role of a care-taker of animals, and Osugi Ren - the dad before - is now the director of the Zoo.

The reason though why I wrote this post isn't about my plans, but the fact, that after comming home I could at last watchSMAPxSMAP with Tsuyoshi again!!! ^.^ I was sooo happy! And they even put up a little concert together, singing Arigatou first.
Didn't like the talk after though. Kimura has the worst personality, how I see it. I don't care, that many like him, to me he is just not sympathic. Be happy fans, there is more for you.
Shingo was another thing... since I have not watched their concerts, and next to SMAPxSMAP rarely see them anywhere other than in dramas - acting - I don't know if what he says is the truth, or fanservice, but if someone told me this:
"Ore wa omai no koto isshou yurusenai kara... Dakara isshou kakete ore ni chanto kaise yo!"
that for me would mean that this person wants to stay with me forever. No matter if this is love, or just friendship, but I really 'AW'-ed here. ^^

Whoa... I mean really.... bulling is hard, no matter how old you are. But for a 6 year old girl, who just chews on the divorce of her parents, and loosing her mother~ With a personality like that of Rin, she would only be troubled by herself, and not ask for help.
I was really surprised that the teacher didn't do anything to figure out who took Rins stuff right as her father reported it... Now that we are by the fact... why did he need to report it? Does a teacher really not watch how his class is, and realise that a girl goes home in her gym shoes?

There are quite a few things that I just can't understand why and how works in Japan. But since I worked as a public servant for two years, and even now work for an office like that I know about official route. Bureaucracy really is everywhere. X3

Don't like the mother in law. Always says the best answers, and choses the topics, like she (not the actor, but the character) already read the script and now wants to become the saint, while showing off what she knows. After I dig into the drama her scenes always throw me out from the story-line. ~.~#

LOL XD This cap is just funny. X3
The director really should have thought it over, before making Azuma Mikihisa and Kusanagi Tsuyoshi walk next to eachother. Poor Tsuyoshi looks so much smaller next to Azuma-san, and his pose doesn't help this image at all. X3

And then the dramatic and oh-so cool lines of Rin:
"Dad" is inside "School" - meaning part of the kanji for school. That made me AWWW for a while how she gets brave enough with this thought to go to school again after being bullied. Aplause for her! ^.^

Kohinata Fumiyo acts soooo cool! Usually I see him in romantic jdramas where he has some silly, always smiling character... but not here. And it looks so good on him! As a director in a bank, prideful and strict - a human without humanity. And then he can give such a warm smile in the next moment. Watching him I really thought, ah, this actor plays so cool! ^^

Strong spoiler from ep. #07 )

There was a drama called Boku no Ikiru Michi with Kusanagi Tsuyoshi, telling the story of a man who tried to reshape his life after learning that he only had a year left to live.

A year after that story was this drama made. While the first one tells the story of how one should live life to the fullest, this one tells about the bonds petween people, love and family.
The traditional Japanese families had strong bonds between family members. Nowdays though there are a lot of divorces and the child grows up withouth really knowing his/her parents.
In this drama Koyanagi Tetsuro (Kusanagi Tsuyoshi) is an anbitious salaryman, at home a beautiful wife and 6 year old child waiting for him. But Tetsuro is so focused on his job, that he doesn't even see over that: he leaves before his child, Rin wakes up, and comes home after she is already sleeping. Just the same way he sees his wife more like a maid then a lover and partner in life.

From blank salaryman to a lovable father figure )
